External Referral for CBCT or Biopsy

CBCT Referrals

Schulich Dentistry refers CBCT interpretations to Dr. Trevor Thang at the University of Toronto. Patients are charged $200 for the service. Scans are completed at Schulich and the turnaround time for the radiographic interpretation is 2-3 weeks. Students will receive the completed report in the documents tab of Salud.

Biopsy Referrals

Biopsies can be performed in the oral surgery department of Schulich Dentistry or at LHSC through referral. Specimens are sent to the LHSC pathology department for processing and microscopic diagnosis. Dr. Christina McCord manages the oral pathology diagnostic service. Turnaround time is 3-6 weeks. Students will receive the completed report in the documents tab of Salud.
